Not-for-Profit Sustainability
The challenges facing not-for-profit organizations today are of greater magnitude than ever before. United Way believes that to thrive, not-for-profit agencies must begin to explore collaboration, sharpen their focus or modify services in light of changing community priorities.
United Way of Greater Rochester is committed to helping ensure the sustainability of Rochester's non-profit, human service system and has established a Not-for-Profit Sustainability Consortium of organizations that are interested in and committed to this issue. This initiative:
- Provides thought leadership around issues of not-for-profit sustainability, recognizing the value of a leaner, yet fully robust not-for-profit sector for our community
- Assists not-for-profit organiations that are interested in doing business differently to access resources (including training and volunteers) in their re-engineering efforts
- Helps evaluate the impact of this sustainability initiative as measured by, among other factors, greater impact in the delivery of the services
